A day without you
I know you've gone somewhere, but couldn't you at least give me an explanation before leaving? I would've prepared myself well in advance then. Well enough to stand up on my own, without needing any kind of external support from you. Had I known, I wouldn't have withered, no, I would've stocked myself properly and stood upright, facing the sun defiantly.
I don't need you, na na, it's you who needs me. You need me to survive. You need me to improve your surroundings. You need me so that you have something to brag about when your friends come over. Without me, your passion is empty; it's void.
Well, since I'm going to die a very slow and painful death because you are not here to fulfill my needs, I'm going to tell you some things. Don't lament my death once you realize that you've made a great mistake by leaving me behind without proper supervision. You know that I need someone supportive to nurture me and enable me to grow. I want you to get yourself someone new, someone who's care you're going to take even when I'm gone. I still remember the smile on your face every time I used to get a new accessory for myself and show it off to you proudly. You couldn't stop calling everyone whenever I used to be hale and hearty.
But now I'm dying. All I want is for you to come back quickly, and save me from going back to dust again.
My arms are frail; they can't reach out to you. Can yours reach out to caress my body and nourish it back to health with some supplements?
A day without you is like a year without rain.
Love,
