Confidant

Her best friends only came for a season.

They never let out her deepest and most sinister secrets although she took them from granted. They never complained when the only topic of discussion revolved around "her" and "her life" as she kept boasting about her accomplishments and moaning about her failures. They knew that she was afraid of being isolated and failure while she kept wearing the mask of an affable person. They accepted her for her faults as she kept turning a blind eye to each one of them as the days passed by. They were unbiased even when she was at fault in certain situations and supported her. They loathed the same persons as her and disapproved of their achievements. They were aware of her insecurities but were always there for her when she thought nobody else was.

They were a reflection of who she was, in every aspect, ranging from their appearance to their mannerisms.

The beckoning pages of her diary were the closest thing she had to a confidant.
