Time Travel
Here's everything I wanted to tell you, Little One.
Don't be in such a hurry to grow up. So many things are better left undiscovered and unsaid. You'll meet many people but only a few of them will matter to you. You'll find out that the world is such a pretentious place and being original is as close to falling from a high rise building and surviving. You'll face so many ups and downs, and every down will demotivate you even more than your highest ups. There will always be people to pull you down to the deepest chasm of hopelessness and you'll find it impossible to climb back up to face the daylight of confidence. You will fall in love and be left heart broken. You'll feel betrayed, cheated on and so alone. Nothing will make sense to you. No one will understand you. You'll cry yourself to sleep, wondering why things didn't go your way. You'll keep your deepest secrets within yourself and promise yourself that you will never do any of the things that caused you pain.
And then, you'll change your mind.
You'll start working on yourself, try so hard to be a good human. You'll start believing in yourself and be proud of who you've grown up to be. You will figure out that the smallest things make you the happiest. You'll realise the true value of being yourself and accept yourself. You'll have faith in the people around you. Eventually, you'll start nurturing broken people because you know what pain feels like. You'll start understanding people and not meaninglessly sympathizing with them. You will love the scars of haunting memories because they made you the survivor you are.
Because if you didn't make mistakes and learn from them, I wouldn't be here, writing this letter to you.
