Be you
So, I went shopping with my mom once and after we were done, we went
to the ground floor as my mom had to buy some cosmetics. The various
taglines said , "Look your best" and "Be beautiful" and what not. We
were walking and the sales ladies were desperately trying to convince
customers to buy lipsticks and nail polishes and mascaras and all, when
one of them caught my mom's attention. She handed me all the bags and
went to the lady and sparked up a conversation. In the end, my mom finally ended up buying 2 lipsticks, 3 different eyeliners and 1 bottle of nail polish.
The sales lady asked me, " Young lady, don't you want to buy anything?". I politely said no but, the lady was so insistent on me buying something or the other. Nail polish was a big NO as I don't have nails and so was lip gloss as I have a general tendency of licking it off. I looked like a witch with eyeliner and so, I tried to convince her that I didn't need anything. When she asked me why, I listed out these reasons and I also asked her why was she selling all these cosmetics. She said she sold them to earn money. And, finally, I pitied her so much, I bought a neon nail polish bottle which I figured out I would never use.

As I came back
home, I decided to see if true beauty can really be bought by money. I
stashed out the cosmetics and slowly put them on my face with my
inexperienced hands. I stared back in the mirror. It was some unknown,
fake creature who smiled back at me. I washed my face and then stared
back in the mirror again. There was a difference. Some naturality, I
suppose.
Retain that originality. If make-up could make everything so pleasant, the world would have been a much happier place too.
